Heptathlon
Jamaica’s Peaches Roach won the gold medal in the women’s heptathlon event of the XXI Central American and Caribbean Sport Games with a total score of 5,780 points.
Roach dominated the race in the 200 meter dash, the final race of the heptathlon, with a time of 2:18.33.
The silver medal went to France Manzanillo, from the Dominican Republic, who finished with 5,561 points. Shianne Smith finished 8th with a score of 4,919.

Arantxa Kingqualified for the Women’s Long Jump Finals, King’s best leap of 6.06 saw finishing 6th out of 16 Women in the Final.
