Jacklyn Lambert went down in her Second Round Match in straight sets 6 – 0, 6 – 1 to Alejandra Granillo from Mexico, while Caitlin Gordon went down in her Second Round Match against her Mexican opponent Giuliana Olmos in straight sets 6 – 0, 6 – 0. Gavin Manders went down in his Second Round Match in straight sets to 2nd Seeded Mexican Dabiel Garza 6 – 4, 6 – 2. Gordon and Tara Lambert went down in Women’s Doubles Quarter-Finals action in straight sets to 2nd seeds Andrea Gamiz and Mariana Muci from Venezuela 6 – 0, 6 – 0.
Sailing
Alex Jones remained in 5th place in the Men’s Wind Surf, Jones has 35points after eight races, Jones has finishes of 6th, 5th, 6th, 4th, 5th, 5th, 6th and 4th. Meanwhile in the Men’s Standard Laser Fleet, Rockal Evans fell 7 spots from 9th to 16th with 66 points after 6 races, while Willam Hutchings moved up one spot from 16th to 15th with 62 points. Sara Adderley has put herself in Medal contention moving up from 8th place to 5th with 22 points in the Women’s Laser Radial. Adderley is only three points out of the Bronze Medal spot.
Athletics
Aaron Evans won Heat 2 of the 800m with a time of 1:49.36, to qualify for Thursday’s Final. Evans finished with the second fastest qualifying time. While Latroya Darrell finished 9th in the Women’s Triple Jump with a leap of 12.27m.
