Swimming
Ben Smith, Aquatics Manager/National Swimming Coach commenting on the performance of the Bermuda Team at the CAC Games said, “Kiera Aitken swam a very good 50m Freestyle in a very competitive field but unfortunately did not make the finals. Julian Fletcher continued his fine form by dropping 1.3 seconds off of his personal best but he finished 9th just missing the finals by .04.
Lisa Blackburn had a solid 50m Breaststroke bettering her recent time but was also unable to make the finals. Rebecca Sharpe and Aitken finished the morning with the 200m Backstroke. Aitken finished 7th and will be back in the pool for tonight’s finals.
Bowling
The Bermuda Men’s 1st Team of Damien Matthews, David Maycock and Delmont Tucker finished 18th in Men’s Trio Bowling Team action, the team managed a total of 3399 pins after each bowler bowled six games. Bermuda Men’s Team 2 finished 21st who recorded 3278 pins, the team consist of Kevin Swan, Lamar Richardson and Levince Samuels.
The Bermuda Women’s 1st Team of Gloria Dill, Dianne Jones and Earlene Tucker finished 13th with 3374 pins, while Bermuda’s Women’s Team 2 of Kathleen Christopher, Rochelle Harvey and Patricia Price finished 19th with 3124 pins.
