The Bermuda Lacrosse Association recorded its first ever International win at the Men’s level when they defeated Denmark 11 – 8 during the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships continued in Manchester, England,
Bermuda jumped out to a 5 – 0 lead with two goals from Stephen Michel and single strikes from Dominic Gallina, Andy Soucie and Rick Fields. Denmark, pulled three goals back with Stefen Hansen scoring twice and Binz Hansen scoring the other.
Bermuda replied with three more goals of their own with Kyle Tucker, Michel and Gallina all finding the net, Danny Kristensen scored back to back goals for Denmark to make the score 8-5, but Gallina hit straight back to make it 9 – 5.
Denmark, scored the next three goals to pull within one, Hassen scored twice and Martin Baadsgaard scored the other, but Bermuda would not be denied as Doug Bell and Gallina scored to wrap up the win.
