Ryan Gunn Answers Questions
Ryan Gunn is scheduled to leave for Singapore for the Youth Olympic Games very soon, www.islandstats.com asked the young Triathlete a few questions before he departs.

Q. You will be representing Bermuda at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore are you nervous?

A.
Yes I am pretty nervous - this is the biggest event in my career so far.

Q. What was the difference between competing on home soil and competing aboard?

A.
Home soil - I know the competitors. Abroad - every competition is different and the field for my age group is massive.

Q. What have you been doing to prepare for the Youth Olympics?

A.
I have increased my training over the past 6 weeks and am also working out in the hotter part of the day so I can get ready for the heat and humidity in Singapore. In addition I have been taking extra swim lessons where I have been focusing in on technique and form.

Q. Are you satisfied with your preparations thus far?

A.
Yeah - I mean, I believe so.

Q. What can Bermuda expect from Ryan Gunn during the Youth Olympics?

A.
To perform as best as I can and achieve a personal best. It will be the "best of the best" from all around the World. It would be great to finish in the top 10% of the field.

Q. Where does Ryan Gunn see himself in 2012?

A.
While I would love to be able to represent BDA in London, I have to focus on completing my education first. If I am able to train and keep my grades, then I hope to get a chance to represent Bermuda - if not, you can be sure I will be looking towards 2016!
