A clearing breeze after yesterday's rain raised the game for many teams. The conditions on both courses had the wind in the mid-teens with gusts in the 20's, causing many exciting reaches and gybes among the fleets during Day 4 of the 49er European Championship in Gwdnia, Poland.
After three days, the elimination of 82 teams from 25 countries the sailors was divided into three groups, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Brother Jesse and Zander Kirkland are competing in the Bronze Fleet and the pair find themselves in 18th place in the 30 boat Fleet with 280 points.
The Kirklands finished the first of two races on the day in 32nd place, but did not finish the second race.
