Following a narrow defeat on Friday night, Jenaya Wade-Fray and the Great Britain (GB) Women's Basketball team bounce back to beat Bulgaria in Pravets.
The GB team, which showed some great spells during the first game, managed to take those elements forward to produce a strong performance from start to finish. By the end of the first quarter the GB team had a four point lead 14 - 10 although this gap was narrowed to one by half time 26 - 25. It wasn't until the third and fourth quarter that GB created clear day light with a score of 50 - 42 and it finishing 69 - 51.
Again Jo Leedham who had a fantastic season with Franklin Pierce University and top scored in the first test game against Bulgaria was one of the stand out performer with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. There were also double points scored by Julie Page with 12 and Kim Butler with 10.
Other notable mentions include Wade-Fray who managed five assists and seven rebounds and Step Collins who supported with five assist.
The team now has a couple of recuperation days before camp reopens in Surrey. The next test games will be against Portugal at home on July 17 & 18.
