The Bermuda Bicycle Association (BBA) Team have all made it to Barbados though they a waiting for a single piece of luggage.
BBA President Peter Dunne said, “Ironically it was a carry-on that the airline staff gate checked in New York. Of course it contained a helmet, pedals and shoes. But when it arrives this evening all will be set”.
Tomorrow is the time trial that will see Garth Thomson, Flora Duffy and Dee Thomson tackling the 20k course, with Garth Thomson doing two laps and the ladies one.
“We checked it out this morning and there are a few road surfaces that leave something to be desired. But the road is the same for all competitors”, said Dunne.
While one group was scouting the TT route, Geri Mewitt took Chris Faria on a little road excursion, exploring some back roads of Barbados, while Mrk Hatherley and Arthur Pitcher sat in the sleek jeep.
“It's Pitcher's bag we are waiting for but we're sure he will be on the road in the morning”, concluded Dunne.
