Flora Duffy was a part of the large squad from Colorado University (CU) at Collegiate Mountain Nationals that had very consistent performances in every event in Truckeey, California, leading the team to a great 2nd overall!
Duffy will be representing Bermuda at the upcoming Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships this weekend in Barbados
Nationals racing started with a 30-mile Cross Country race, where Blake Harlan took 8th and Kevin Kane took 12th in a field of nearly 60 men, and Mia Wilhelm, Katie Sodergren and Deidre York took 13th, 14th and 15th of 45 women.
Next was a Short track race that went better for CU. Blake Harlan finished 5th and Kevin Kane finished 13th of over 60 men, and Matt Wiebe also finished in the top 20. Duffy pulled off an 8th place finish, while Wilhelm, York and Sodegren also finished in the top 20 of the Women's race.
