Thomson powered away from his former teammate to take a convincing win, with Hatherly showing the improving form he has demonstrated the last few weeks of racing. The category podium was rounded out by Arthur Pitcher who took the group sprint for third.
In the Male B race Dominique Mayho (Team Madison) won on the uphill finish, out kicking the remnants of the original field of 19 riders, despite being forced to do the majority of the work earlier in the race to reel in Chris Harkness (Bicycle Works) who had made an early break and at one time held a 2 minute lead.
Other category winners were Deanna Thomson - Bicycle Works (Female A), Maryellen Goodwin Team Tokio (Female B), Justin Ferreira Winners Edge (Junior A), Daniel Oatley Bicycle Works (Junior B), and Alex Pilgrim- Bicycle Works (Junior C).
