 Action at Corkscrew Hill IslandStats.com Regional cycling powerhouses Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Barbados and Curacao had impressive results in the road race events as part of the Junior Caribbean Cycling Championship.
The road race was comprised of laps through Hamilton and out to East Broadway and up Corkscrew Hill, saw Gina Rivera from Puerto Rico win the Female Race, with Nohely Emerenciana from Curacao second and Bermuda’s Izabella Arnold winning the Bronze Medal.
In the Juvenile race, Russell Elcock from Barbados won the Gold Medal, with Jair Tjor En Fa from Surinam capturing the Silver Medal, Sebastian Ton from Curacao won the Bronze Medal. Bermuda’s Ryan Gunn finished fourth in the Juvenile race.
In the Junior race Roberto Torres from Puerto Rico won the Gold Medal, Rudy Ashton from Trinidad picked up the Silver Medal and Darren Matthews from Barbados won the Bronze Medal.
