The Bermuda Bicycle Association (BBA) will be hosting the Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships this July 25 and 26.
Peter Dunne the BBA President said, “At this point it looks like there will be 70 participants from 13 countries, including about 10 juniors representing Bermuda. We will require a huge number of volunteers for these races and it is hoped that all BBA members will come out to support the events”.
Nigel Godfrey is coordinating the Time Trial which will use a similar structure to the Escape to Bermuda cycling leg. With traffic closed in one direction for the duration of the Time Trial.
“We need about 150 volunteers along the course to make it as safe as possible. The good news is that the Time Trial starts at 7:00AM and will only take until 8:30 for all of the participants to finish”, continued Dunne.
“The road race will use the Hamilton course that ran for the Bermuda Grand Prix last year, including Corkscrew Hill”, concluded Dunne.
