Racing was run in all sorts of weather but in the end spectators witnessed a great race. Scott Williams rode solo off the front for three quarters of the 50 mile race to take his first national championship title, followed by Garth Thomson and Graeme Miller
Miller closed the gap going into his last lap of the 5 mile loop but wasn't able to close the gap to Thomson.
In the Women’s race, Dee Thomson, winner of yesterday's Bank of Bermuda National Time Trial Championship doubled her winning weekend. She led the race the entire 40 mile race. Karen Bordage, last year's winner, suffered and early puncture and chased back to take second place ahead of Nichole Mitchell but was unable to catch Thomson.
The junior races were won by Ryan Gunn who rode aggressively and was rewarded for his hard work with a sprint victory over Alex Godfrey. Tru-Shun Correia chased the lead two to take third place.
The junior girl’s race was won by 13 year old Molly Pilgrim who usually rides in the Junior B category. The group of 5 teens stayed together for the majority of their race but opened it up on the last lap. Izabella Arnold and Hayley Evans rounded out the top spots.
Non-championship races were also held for Junior B and C categories with brothers Daniel and Christian Oatley winning their respective groups.
