In the latest round of Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League double-header action at the PCC Hockey Rink, a total of 21 goals were scored between the two matches.
Frontier 6 Spine and Sport 12
In the opening match, Spine and Sport defeated Frontier 12 - 6.
Spine and Sport took a 5 – 1 lead in the First Period, a total of 12 goals were scored in the Second Period with Spine and Sports scoring 7 and Frontier scored 5 to make the score 12 – 6, with one period to play. Neither team would score in the final period as the score stood.
Spine and Sport were led to victory by Christopher Merritt who scored 5 times, Kevin Albrecht added a hat-trick, Brandon Willett scored twice, while Jeffery Ingleman, and Colin Long added a goal each.
Meanwhile, Frontier got four goals from Matthew Benson, and two goals from Cam Poland.
Positive Image Dental 2 BDA Spirits 1
The nightcap saw three goals scored, as Positive Image Dental edged BDA Spirits 2 – 1 with the game needing a shootout goal to get a winner.
Positive Image Dental took the lead in the First Period as Brian White scored, but BDA Spirits equalized in the Second Period through a Marcel Bouwens goal.
Neither team would be able to beat the opposing goalkeeper in regulation time, but during the Shootout Period, Greg Van Der Made scored for Positive Image Dental.
