A Bermuda Field Hockey double-header took place at the National Sports Center with 14 goals scored. The sport that has been ignored by print media, will likely get some coverage with the upcoming International tournament on the horizon, but don’t be fooled, as the minute that is over, so is the coverage of the sport yet again. Longtails 0 Pink Robins 4
In the opener the Pink Robins defeated the Longtails 4 – 0, Joe Heanly gave the Pink Robins the lead in the 5th minute with a Field Goal, Lucy Bridges doubled the Pink Robin’s lead in the 21st minute with a Field goal. In the 29th minute, Heanly would score their second Field Goal of the game to make it 3 – 0, and then in the 52nd minute, Jen Chisnel scored from a Penalty Corner to make the final score 4 – 0.
Hawks 1 Pirates 9
The second game of the day saw the Pirates defeat the Hawks 9 – 1. The Pirates got hat-tricks from Donnie Simmons, and Samuel Thompson, while Nigel Deane, Jayden Pacheco, and Freddie Twite all added a goal each, while Noel Johnston scored the lone goal for the Hawks.
