In the opener the San Francisco Spiders came from 2 – 0 down in the final period to edge the Milwaukee Admirals 3 – 2.
Robbie Bailey gave the Milwaukee Admirals the lead in the First Period, Bailey would double the Milwaukee Admirals lead with a goal in the Second Period.
James Amaral began the comeback for the San Francisco Spiders with a goal early in the Third Period, Amaral would then draw the teams level with his second goal of the game, before Matt McPhail scored what proved to be the winner.
Quad City Mallards 8 Lone Star Brahmas 3
The Quad City Mallards defeated the Lone Star Brahmas 8 – 3 in the nightcap.
The Quad City Mallards got 4 goals from Ryan Marshall, while Cam Poland, Adam Mattatall, Damien McDonnell and Anthony Kapsimalis all added a goal each.
Chad Cundliffe, Andrew Leavy and Jennifer Toope all found the back of the net for the Lone Star Brahmas.
