Senior Julia Richards scored the go-ahead goal with eight seconds left in the second quarter as second-ranked Middlebury College defeated Isabella Boonstra and her 14th-ranked Babson College Field Hockey teammates 2 - 1, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Kohn Field.
Babson, which dropped its first road game since late September, concludes the season at 19-5, while Middlebury improves to 18-1 with its 35th straight victory at home. The Panthers, who have won two consecutive Division III National Titles will face either Kean or Endicott.
