A total of 18 goals were scored in a double header at the PCC Hockey Rink as the Bermuda Ball Hockey Association’s Winter League season continued.
Las Vegas Wranglers 4 Red Deer Rebels 7
The opener produced 11 goals on the night as the Red Deer Rebels defeated the Las Vegas Wranglers 7 – 4.
The Las Vegas Wranglers took the lead when John Duda scored, but the Red Deer Rebels would equalize when Jeremy Estey found the back of the net. Duda would put the Las Vegas Wranglers back in front and then Chad Cundliffe would make it 3 – 1 to the Las Vegas Wranglers, but the Red Deer Rebels would pull within one when Shannon Gosse scored to end the First period 3 – 2.
The Second Period saw both teams fail to beat the goaltenders.
The Third period saw the Red Deer Rebels draw level at 3 - 3 when Matt Katzsch scored, the Red Deer Rebels would get their first lead of the game when Chris Grantier found the back of the net and when Estey scored his second goal of the game it increased the lead to 5 – 3.
The Las Vegas Wranglers would pull within one when Cundliffe scored his second of the game, but the Red Deer Rebels two goal lead was restored when Matt Katzsch scored and then Esty would score his second of the game to earn the Red Deer Rebels the 7 – 4 win.
Kelowna Rockets 3 Guelph Storm 4
The nightcap featured seven goals with the Guelph Storm defeating Kelowna Rockets 4 – 3.
The Guelph Storm would get 2 goals from Jm Tremblay, while Chris Allington and Christopher Merritt added a goal each, while Jon Talbot, Adam Mattatall and Owen Siese all scored a goal each for the Kelowna Rockets.
