IslandStats.com
The Fairmont Southampton is delighted to announce that the Bacardi National Par 3 Championship will be returning to its Turtle Hill Golf Club for the seventh consecutive year on February 25th - 26th, 2017.

The tournament leads up to the GREY GOOSE World Par 3 Championship March 16th - 18th, 2017.

With the top finishers of the Bacardi National Par 3 Championship invited to play in the GREY GOOSE® tournament as well.

The early Birdie catches the worm, and starting this month, golfers can compete to qualify for a spot in the 2017 Bacardi National Par 3 tournament.

Entry is free, and to qualify, players must submit a counter-signed scorecard from Turtle Hill Golf Club. The field is limited to the top 10 and ties of each of the following divisions: Men 18-54 years; Men 55 years and over; Ladies 18-54 years, Ladies 55 years and over; and Professionals; both gross and net divisions.

Players can submit an unlimited number of scores. A leader board is kept at Turtle Hill and released bi-weekly. No handicaps are required for the Gross division but an official GHON handicap is required for the Net Division. The winners from each division will be invited to play in the Grey Goose World Par 3 at a reduced entry fee of $200.

Turtle Hill Golf Club has partnered with Island Stats to maintain the leader board, and golfers can visit www.islandstats.com to view the standings.

“Turtle Hill Golf Club is proud to host the Bacardi National Par 3 on our scenic golf course for a seventh time,” said Paul Adams, Director of Golf at Turtle Hill Golf Club. “This tournament represents the best of Bermudian golf. Noted local players will be competing for one of the rare spots to play against world-class professional golfers in the GREY GOOSE World Par 3 Championship. We are very much looking forward to another exciting weekend of golf with our valued partner, Bacardi Limited.”

“As part of the Bacardi portfolio of premium spirits, GREY GOOSE has a long-standing commitment to, and leadership position within, the sport of golf,” said Clara Fay, Director of Corporate Affairs – Bermuda, for Bacardi Limited. “Golf is a sport that truly reflects the brand value of the passionate pursuit of the extraordinary. The sponsorship of this premier golf event in our Bermuda backyard will enable us to have an even deeper level of engagement with GREY GOOSE enthusiasts and golf fans.”

The Bacardi National Par 3 Championship and the GREY GOOSE World Par 3 Championship are both integral to Fairmont Southampton’s strategic golf plan, which aims to drive golfers to Bermuda’s shores. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Bermuda Turtle Project. VERIFY CHARITY
