Matthew Elliott was one of eight Felsted Squash players who joined the best young players in the County at the Essex Junior Closed Tournament.
The event attracted 100 entrants, who came together to play to decide who is the County Champion in 6 Age Categories.
Elliott competed in the Under 17 Boys Division, in his Opening Round Match Elliott took on the Division Number One Seed Michael Tallentire and went down in three straight games 11-5, 11-0, 11-3.
In the Second Round Elliott went down to the three seed Charlie Broad 3 – 1. Elliott won the first match 11-7, but Broad leveled the match at 1 – 1 when he won the second match 11-3, Broad won the third match 12-10 to take a 2 – 1 lead, Broad would then close out the match 11-3 to claim the win.
