Three boys and two girls began competing in the annual Pan American Junior Championships, in Toronto, Canada.
In the Boys Under 19 Division Taylor Carrick won his opening match in straight games 11-2, 11-1, 11-4 over Javier Hurtado from Guatemala.
Charlie Riker would fall in straight games 11-1, 11-4, 11-0 to Rafael Galvez from Canada in the same Division.
Anaya Smith would advance in the Division when he picked up a straight games win over Nathan Maclean from Cayman Islands.
Carrick and Smith teamed up for the Under 19 Boys Doubles, they would defeat Jace Jarvice and Maclean from Cayman Islands 11-10, 11-4.
Abigail Brewer and Charlotte Toogood recorded Bye’s in the opening Round.
