A total of 37 goals were scored in the latest round of the Bermuda Men’s Futsal League season going on inside the Bermuda College Gymnasium.
In the opening game of the night Footy Force came from behind to edge Underrated FC 12 – 11. Footy Force started out slowly against a determined Underrated and at half time Underrated led by a score of 6 - 4. However, in the second half Footy dominated play and scored 8 goals and limited Underrated to just 5. Justin Bell was MVP for Footy Force scoring 5 goals and league scoring leader Donavan Thompson was outstanding for Underrated scoring an incredible 10 goals.
Game 2, saw the Devonshire Colts fall 10 – 4 to League leaders Team Involved. Initially Team Involved had a difficult time overcoming Devonshire Colts in the beginning of the first half, but they settled down and were able to pull ahead by a score of 6 - 2. The second half was fairly close with Involved scoring 4 goals to Colts' 2 goals to win the game a by a score of 10 - 4. Jai-Zel Smith-Deshields was outstanding for Team Involved scoring 5 goals with Jekeylo Burgess MVP for Devonshire Colts scoring 4 goals.
The next round of games takes place on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 at the Bermuda College Gym starting at 6 pm. In addition the Men's All-Star Game will be held on Tuesday July 16th starting at 7pm. Fans will be able to see the league's best players showcasing their skills. All are welcome to this free event.
