Countdown to CEA Regional Jumping Challenge
The Bermuda Equestrian Federation announced that the Bermuda Round of the 2018 Caribbean Equestrian Association’s Regional Jumping Challenge will take place on Saturday November 24th at the National Equestrian Center.

The Bermuda team was successful in securing first place in both the 2016 and 2017 Challenges.

The Caribbean Equestrian Association (“CEA”) was formed in 1997 and Bermuda has been a member country since 1999.

Member countries include Antigua, Jamaica, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti.

One of the primary goals of the CEA is to encourage equestrian activities in the region by the promotion of intra-Caribbean events.

The format for this year’s CEA Regional Jumping Championship will see adults and children competing over two specific rounds of jumps at three different jumping heights, the highest height being 1 meter. The top two competitors in each of the three jumping height divisions will form our Bermuda team. This competition is most unique as there is no distinction between age and gender. Males and females, adults and children all have the opportunity to compete against each other. Most importantly, this competition provides an excellent opportunity for local riders to compete against other countries without the expense of leaving Bermuda.
