Yushae DeSilva Andrade and Omar Hayward began competing in the Santiago World Boccia Challenger Competition in Chile.
They both played their 1st round of matches.
Playing in the BC1 Male Division Pool B Hayward defeated Kevin Murga from El Salvador 16 - 0
While DeSilva Andrade defeated Mariela Fuchs from Argentina 9 – 0 in the BC1 Female Division Pool A.
Coach Troy Farnsworth said, "Both DeSilva Andrade and Hayward have qualified for the Para Pan Am Games in November. This event is being held in the same venue that will be used in the Para Pan Am Games so will help them prepare for that event as well as gain valuable world ranking points ".
