Bermuda athletes will be involved in several International competitions in 2022, www.islandstats.com will be speaking with the Bermuda Olympic Association President Peter Dunne to get an update on some upcoming events.
For the Bermuda Olympic Association it is yet another year of first, Bermuda athletes are expected to take part in the inaugural Caribbean Games as a member of CANOC (Association of Caribbean National Olympic Committees).
The Caribbean Games are set for June 29th to July 3rd, 2022 with 7 sports competing which include Athletics, Basketball 3x3, Cycling, Futsal, Judo, Netball, Swimming.
Those games will be followed by the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games set to take place Thursday, July 28th - Monday, August 8th.
Bermuda’s Nicky Saunders still holds the Commonwealth Games High Jump record which was set on February 1st, 1990 in Auckland. Bermuda also has the Gold Medal defending Women's Triathlon Champion Flora Duffy.
