The Second Regatta of the 2021 World Rowing Cup Series was successful for China and Great Britain as they topped the medals table with three Gold Medals each. A medal spread included 15 nations with the British leading the way with Gold Medals in the Men’s Eight, Lightweight Women’s Double Sculls, and the Men’s Four followed by one Silver and one Bronze Medal.
Dara Alizadeh who will represent Bermuda at the Tokyo Olympics competed in the Men's Single Sculls Quarter-Final #3, Alizadeh clocked a time of 7:25.67 to finish 5th, which would see him advance to the Men's Single Sculls D Final.
Alizadeh took to the start line for the Men's Single Sculls D Final, he would clock a time of 8:01.43, which would see him finish 5th.
Following his first regatta since qualifying for the Olympics Alizadeh said, “It was an overall decent regatta, I finished pretty poorly, but made some good steps on Day 1.”
