Willie Clemons and his Dalkurd teammates played to a 1 – 1 draw with Jönköpings Södra IF.
Arian Kabashi gave Dalkurd the lead in the 77th minute, but Eric Johana Omondi equalized in the 89th minute.
Clemons said, “Strong performance tonight, we know we deserved more, but we take the 1 point against a good opponent and we look forward to taking all 3 next week.”
AALIYAH NOLAN
A late equalizer from Harriet Jakeman ensured the West Yorkshire derby between Aaliyah Nolan and her Leeds Women’s teammates and Bradford ended all square.
Abbie Brown cracked a brilliant effort against the crossbar before Leeds took the lead from the spot in the 37th minute after Zoe Roberts was judged to have fouled Molly Havard. Rebecca Hunt made no mistake from 12 yards.
Bradford pilled on the pressure and found an equalizer in the 83rd minute after Jakeman prodded home from close range to earn a point for the hosts.
KEUNNA DILL
Keunna Dill and her Norwich City Women’s Football teammates took on Ipswich Town Women’s Football team in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.
Ipswich would come away with a 3 – 1 win, Dill started the match on the bench, she would enter the match with her team already down 3 – 0, some great work from Norwich City in the 80th minute as Ellie Smith made a fantastic run on the break from a Town corner and she made a lovely pass to Dill who went 1 on 1 with the keeper and slot it home.
