The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) announced the Referees and Assistant Referees that have been selected for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Bermuda will compete in Group B and they will take on Haiti, Costa Rica and Nicaragua
The 48 match officials were required to pass several assessments and fitness tests, to ensure they could be considered for CONCACAF’s most prestigious National Team competition.
Although Bermuda’s FIFA listed Referee Assistant Tashun Simons was not selected, www.islandstats.com can confirm that Referee Assessor Victor Stewart who has been to Bermuda on several occasions has been assigned to the Tournament.
Stewart is Bermuda's CONCACAF Technical Instructor and Assessor Instructor is a regular guess on Referee Corner hosted by www.islandstats.com on a weekly basis during the Football Season, he has also officiated a Bermuda Football Association Premier Division match.
