Australia and England produced six and five World Masters champions, respectively, on finals day of the first World Masters ever held on U.S. soil at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Four players represented Bermuda.
During the Men’s 45+ Singles John Fletcher went down to Zamil Hossain.
Eugene Bothello went down in three games 11-3, 11-9, 11-4 to Geoff Roper in the Men’s 50+ Singles Division.
Jane Chapman competed in the Women’s 50+ Singles Division she went down in straight games 11-2, 11-3, 11-0 to Sally Philp.
Denise Kyme won her first match in the Women’s 65+ Singles Division 11-8, 11-5, 11-4 over Carrie Kahn, but she would fall 6-11, 11-7, 12-10, 11-6 to Gaye Mitchell in her next match.
