Warwick Win Snooker League & Open Round-Up

Warwick Workman’s Club Two attained an unassailable lead, drawing 3 - 3 with Watford Sports Club at Warwick Workman’s Club to be crowned the 2023/24 Bermuda Snooker League Champions.

Scott Barnes got Warwick Workman’s Club off to a flying start when he defeated Watford's Mark Iris 47-36 in the 1st game.

Watford captain, Aaron Bean equalized when he defeated Warwick Captain, Steven Bremar on the Black Ball, 51-48.

Zane DeSilva restored the lead for Warwick Workman’s Club in the next game, overcoming Iris 67-43.

Bremar then increased the lead for Warwick Workman’s Club when he defeated Keino Zuill 58-48.

Zuill stormed back in the next game, however, when he defeated Zane DeSiva 87-10 in the 5th game.

Aaron Bean then took the final game for Watford to earn the draw at 3-3 when he defeated Scott Barnes 63-15.

2nd place is still up for grabs however, as there are only 3 points currently separating 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots with all three contenders having one game in hand to play.

Spanish Point Boat Club One drew 3 - 3 with Warwick Workman’s Club One at Spanish Point Boat Club.

Chris Dakin opened the scoring for Spanish Point when he defeated Pamela Bremar 57-19

Alan Smith made it 2 – 0 for Spanish Point when he defeated Pamela Bremar in the 2nd game, 59-39.

Gary Bascombe pulled one back for Warwick Workman’s Club when he defeated Spanish Point Captain, Stewart Greenslade 69-48

Chris Dakin made it 3 – 1 to Spanish Point when he defeated Winslow Smith 69-58 in the 4th game.

Bascombe pulled another back for Warwick in the next, defeating Alan Smith 66-40

Winslow Smith earned the draw for Warwick Workman’s Club when he defeated Greenslade in the final game, 52-31.

Sandy Boat Club defeated Spanish Point Boat Club Two 4 - 2 at Sandys Boat Club.

Sandys Captain, Martin Siese, gave his team an early lead when he defeated Tyler Moniz on the Black Ball, 46-40.

Spanish Point Captain, John Orr, levelled at 1 - 1 when he defeated Sandys Paul Fedden 52-19 in the 2nd game.

Richard Beale restored the lead for Sandys when he defeated Spanish Point's Richard Burton 54-48 in the 3rd game.

The 4th game saw Paul Fedden increase the lead when he defeated Tyler Moniz 79-1 in the 4th game

Spanish Point's Richard Burton pulled one back when he defeated Martin Siese, 56-49 in the 5th game

Richie Beale sealed the victory for Sandys when he won the final game on the Black Ball to beat John Orr 45-44.

Bermuda Open Singles Quarter-Finals

Steven Bremar defeated Paul Fedden 2 - 1 at Warwick Workman’s Club 29-53, 59-21, 74-34, Bremar now faces a showdown with season newcomer, Toby Wright in the Semi-Final in a race to 3.

Bermuda Open Doubles Quarter-Finals

Steven Bremar and Zane DeSilva defeated John Orr, and Matt Garrod 2 - 0 at Warwick Workman’s Club, 55-33, 44-32

They now face a Semi-Final clash with former winners, Paul Fedden, and Tyler Moniz.
