What may have seemed impossible has now become reality. Gutsy swims up and down the roster from Madelyn Moore and her Northern Colorado Women’s Swimming and Diving teammates gave them their second dual win over Wyoming, 151 - 148.
Northern Colorado kicked off the afternoon with another dominant performance in the 400 Medley Relay. Moore, Chelaine van der Westhuizen, Payten Irwin and Saana Liikonen hit the wall in a winning time of 3:48.27.
Moore, along with her Relay Wins, picked up the victory in the Women 100 Yard Freestyle, where she edged out Liikonen with a time of 51.47.
The positions were reversed for the Women’s 50 Yard Freestyle, with Moore clocking a 2nd place time of 23.36.
It all came down to the final relay of the night, which was the Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. Sensing history within reach, Saana Liikonen, Ali Jackson, Giulia Pavanello, and Moore weren't about to let it slip through their grasps.
Crashing into the wall a full second ahead of Wyoming with a 1:34.52, Northern Colorado claimed the best time in the conference this season and more importantly, knocked off Wyoming for just the second time in program history.
