Led by Madelyn Moore, Northern Colorado Swimming and Diving got off and running in 2021.
After the first day of the Colorado Mesa Intermountain Shootout, Northern Colorado are in second place in the nine-school meet.
Northern Colorado kicked off the shootout with a resounding win in the 200 Freestyle Relay. The quartet of Ali Jackson, Katelyn Bergin, Payten Irwin and Moore hit the wall .11 seconds ahead of in-state rival Colorado State with a time of 1:35.79.
If anybody had intentions of defeating Moore in the 50 Freestyle, they would've thought wrong. Moore outraced everyone clocking a time of 23.35, meeting the 2B Division II B Cut.
Northern Colorado nearly swept the 50 Butterfly, Moore continued her dominance in the sprints, winning her third race of the evening with a 25.20.
Moore would close out the day, anchoring the Northern Colorado Women’s 400 Yard Medley Relay team to the win clocking 3:49.19.
