Harbour swimmer Sam Williamson competed in the British Swimming Glasgow Meet. The meet was the final consideration meet for the British Olympic team before the Tokyo Olympic Games next month.
Over the three-day meet Williamson, representing Mount Kelly school, he would compete in six events in the junior part of the competition, achieving Personal Bests in all six events.
In the 400m Individual Medley, Williamson swam a time of 4:37.88 taking almost eight seconds off his entry time to finish 5th. He then swam the 200m Freestyle with a Personal Best time of 1:57.41 finishing 10th.
He competed in the 200m Individual Medley and swam a time of 2:09.63 to finish 5th taking more than three seconds off his entry time. After a very quick turnaround, he was back in the pool to swim 100m Breaststroke, recording another Personal Best time of 1:06.92 and again a 5th place finish.
Williamson then swam the 400m Freestyle, winning his heat in a time of 4:10.41, lowering his entry time by almost four seconds, and finishing in 7th place overall. To round off the meet Williamson swam the 200m Breaststroke with another Personal Best time of 2:26.09 and another 5th place finish.
