Led by Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week Madelyn Moore for the first time in the history of Northern Colorado Swimming and Diving, they appear in the top-25 of College Swimming's Mid-Major rankings.
Northern Colorado comes in at No. 22.
"Our team has shown a lot of resilience this year and it's beginning to pay off through our performances," said head coach Lisa Ebeling. "This is a big step for our program, but we have a lot of unfinished work to do. If we can all stay healthy and focused, we hope that it will be the first of many." The ranking comes off the heels of a dominant weekend for Ebeling's squad. Northern Colorado won 13 events across two days of dual meets against Air Force, Colorado Mesa and the Colorado School of Mines. For complete objectivity, College Swimming utilizes a Power Point system in lieu of team-submitted entries, and have done so since 2013. Northern Colorado is the second-highest ranked women's program from the Western Athletic Conference, one place behind Grand Canyon.
