Bermuda began participating in the Eastern Caribbean Senior Men's Championships in Antigua and Barbuda, on their first day of competition Bermuda played two matches and finished undefeated.
Bermuda in their opening match took on Anguilla and picked up a 3 – 0 win.
It took Bermuda 17 minutes to take a 1 – 0 lead when they won the first set 25 – 15.
Bermuda would take a 2 – 0 lead when they won the second set 25 – 22, which took 23 minutes to complete.
Anguilla would put up a fight in the third set, but they would still fall, as Bermuda claimed the 3 – 0 victory winning the third set 27 – 25 in a 28-minute battle.
Kyle Hamilton led Bermuda with 11 points, while Tyler Siese had 9 points. Ryan Davies chipped in with 7 points, to go along with a Block, and Tyler Hurdle added 6 points and 2 Blocks.
In their second match of the day, Bermuda edged the host Antigua and Barbuda 3 – 2.
Antigua took a 1 – 0 lead when they won the first game 25 – 22 in 20 minutes, the host would take a 2 – 0 lead when they won the second game 25 – 20 in 22 minutes.
Bermuda would pull a game back making the score 2 – 1 when they won game three 27 – 25 in 25 minutes, it was then 2 – 2 after the fourth game when Bermuda won 28 – 26 in a 25-minute battle.
The match would then be decided by a fifth-game tie-breaker with Bermuda winning 15 – 11 in 14 minutes.
Hamilton led Bermuda yet again with 19 points, he also had 1 Block, Eron Woods had 17 points and 3 Blocks, while Davies had 14 points, and Hurdle had 10 points to go along with 3 Blocks.
