Ty Hurdle and his Queens University of Charlotte Men's Volleyball teammates won their fourth straight match on Thursday night, collecting a 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-16) win over the University of Mount Olive inside Curry Arena. Queens avenged an early-season loss to Mount Olive after committing just 10 attack errors to register a .304 hitting percentage. The Queens' defense held Mount Olive to a .087 mark, tallying seven total blocks in the match. Despite falling behind early, Queens used nine unanswered points to build a 10-3 lead in the opening set. Queens led by as many as eight points, 23-15, before closing out the frame on a kill from JP Payne. Queens never trailed in the second set of action, cruising a 25-17 win behind a .333 hitting performance. The third and final set held much of the same for Queens as they never trailed and battled through five early ties in the set to build a 23-13 advantage late on a Nic Cavallaro kill. A service ace from Ryan Cymbor finished off the match with a service ace.
