Five Bermuda Volleyball Association’s Junior National Program teams began competing in the Mizuno Boston Volleyball Festival.
The Big Wave Riders Under 18 Boys team have a 0&4 record, this after they were defeated 2-1, by the Nor’east Junior 18 Gold team, 25-19, 21-25, 15-11.
The Bermuda team would then fall to Sportime 25-19, 25-19, in their third game the Bermuda Boy’s team fell 2-0 to the MGA 18’s. The Bermuda Boy’s team in their fourth match would fall to GSEVC Boy’s 18 Premier 25-23, 24-26, 16-14.
The Paradise Hitters 18 Girls team are 3&3, they would win their opener against the Mass Patriots 18 Blue 2-0, 25-22, 25-19.
The Paradise Hitters then fell to the Lakes Region Gold team 30-28, 25-17. The Bermuda Girls next defeated the Northwest Juniors Rapid Fire 25-18, 25-20. The paradise Hitters defeated the OC Lady Elite Black team 27-25, 21-25, 15-7. The Paradise Hitters went down 25-16, 25-19 to the Mustang VBC, before closing out with defeat at the hands of Jags One 25-16, 25-15
The Paradise Hitters 16 team began with three consecutive wins, they defeated B&B Blue 25-18, 25-21, which was followed be a 17-25, 25-20, 15-6 win over the Avidity Ace, the third win came after they defeated the Pumas Cobalt. They would fall to Cali Red, 25-22, 22-25, 15-13, before picking up another win over EVA Gold Bee 25-14, 25-16.
The Paradise Hitters 15 Girls team won their opener over the EC Power N Revere 25-12, 25-8, they then lost to Ocean One 25-15, 25-12. The Paradise Under 15 team defeated the Lockdown Ravens 25-23, 25-9. They then loss to the Mass Premier Blue team 25-16, 25-17, before falling to Allegiance VB Black 25-13, 25-15.
The Paradise Hitters Under 12 team went down in three straight games, they fell to the Cali Black 25-17, 25-18, they then fell 25-16, 25-18 to Hardrock Purple and they closed out with a 25-22, 25-14 loss to Seacoast National.
