In anticipation of the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Caribbean Pre- Qualifier, set to take place in Paramaribo, Suriname in June, The Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) has announced the finalized schedules for the Preliminary Phase, as well as for the Final Phase.
The FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Caribbean Pre- Qualifier will qualify two teams for the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Qualifiers beginning in September. The two qualified Caribbean teams will join the South American and Central American Pre- Qualifier Champions along with the four-eliminated Round One - FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifier – Americas teams.
The Preliminary Phase for the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Caribbean Pre- Qualifier that will involve Bermuda begins on June 24th and concludes on June 28th. Teams placed three through five from each group will play in the Classification Phase, while the first and second placed teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals and finals. The FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Caribbean Pre- Qualifier Classification and Final Phases will begin on June 28th and concludes on June 30th.
