Cydnee Todd and her Thomas College Women's Basketball teammates defeated UMaine-Farmington 61-42 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest inside the Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
Todd played 1 minute grabbing 1 rebound in the game.
Thomas jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead over the first two and a half minutes. Thomas kept their offensive surge going through the rest of the quarter, with Karli Stubbs leading the way with 11 points, to take a 33-13 lead after one.
Thomas kept their momentum going in the second, holding UMaine-Farmington to just seven points and taking a 47-20 advantage into the break.
UMaine-Farmington closed the gap over the final two quarters, but were unable to overcome the early deficit and Thomas took the 61-42 victory.
Senior Amira Jones recorded her second double-double in three games with a 16 point, 11 rebound performance. Stubbs just missed a double-double of her own with 13 points and nine boards, while senior Jordan Turner picked up 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Haley Felkel led UMaine-Farmington with 12 points, while registering eight rebounds and three steals. Cheyenne Malloy added eight points, while Paige Carter pulled in eight boards.
