Jenaya Wade-Fray is back doing something she loves and that is playing the sport of Basketball.
Wade-Fray is currently playing in the Women’s British Basketball league for the Brixton Topcats.
In her first match Wade-Fray inspired the Brixton Topcats to a 69 – 42 win over Manchester Mystics, only their second win of the season.
Speaking after her first game back Wade-Fray said, “It feels great to be back out there playing, it's been a while and I am enjoying it.”
After her first game of the season Wade-Fray was named to the Women’s British Basketball League Team of the Week.
“I am feeling well so far, I’m just getting used to getting back into the swing of things.” Wade-Fray continued, “Also I have had this level of physical activity in a while but my knee seems to be reacting great. I just have to remember to ice and take care of myself so that I can remain healthy.”
Wade-Fray concluded, “I'll help this team in whatever they need, I think it'll be helpful bringing in my experience and basketball intelligence. Hopefully I'll be able to make a meaningful impact and help the team to move up the standings.”
