The 1st Annual Bermuda Basketball Youth Federation High School Classic ended at the Berkeley Institute Gymnasium with Cedarbridge Academy and Saltus emerging as the 2014 Champions.
The first game was the Girl’s Championship with Berkeley Institute taking on the Cedarbridge Academy in a game that went back and forth. From the beginning the Berkeley Institute held a lead, but the Cedarbridge Academy put on a defensive display and they pulled away at the end with a 20-16 victory lead by tournament MVP Demiquia Daniels.
The second game was the Boys Championship with Berkeley Institute taking on Saltus a game that saw Saltus take an early 13-2 lead, but Berkeley stormed back to take a 22-20 halftime lead.
The second half was a dog fight throughout with 5 minutes remaining Jason Gonsalves from Saltus scored 8 straight points to seal the game with the final Score 44 - 34 with Gonsalves named tournament MVP scoring 16 points.
