In a game that saw just one of Erica Woods’ Marshall University Women’s Basketball teammates to score in double figures was not enough as they fell at Robert Morris, 67-48 in a morning tip off. With the loss, Marshall dropped to 1-1 on the young season. They will not travel again until December 14th, when it meets West Virginia for a neutral site matchup in Charleston, W.Va.
Junior AJ Johnson led all Marshall scorers, contributing a season-high 12 points. She was 5-of-7 from the floor and paced the team with two three-pointers. Leah Scott and Suporia Dickens each followed with nine points. Aja Sorrells came off the bench to go 4-of-5 from the free throw line, ending the game with four points.
Woods played 28 minutes without scoring, she only took 3 shots and grabbed 3 rebounds, Woods recorded 1 Block Shot, 1 Steal and 1 Assist.
