The islandstats.com Sports Show tonight features host Earl Basden, along with co-host Jason Ford, beginning at 8:00 pm.
Tonight’s show will be speaking with Swimmer Claudine Pullen, Donna Raynor President of Bermuda National Athletics Association and Members of the Eastern County Cricket Association about Eastern County.
Claudine Pullen is a Zimbabwean former competitive swimmer who represented Zimbabwe in the Junior All Africa Championships. Pullen represented her province and country, for twelve and five years respectively. Pullen is a former record holder, holding the 50m Provincial Backstroke Record for twenty-two years. Pullen is currently a Chartered Accountant who works and resides in Bermuda.
Donna Raynor President of the Bermuda National Athletics Association (BNAA) announced they will be honoring past Carifta athletes in a Baton Relay.
Raynor said, "We never want to forget our athletes who helped to shape the sport of track and field with some of them still giving back and assisting our up and coming athletes."
Eastern County Cup Competition is scheduled to begin on July 17th, wit cup holders St. David’s Cricket Club facing off against challengers Flatt’s Victoria, at the Sea Breeze Oval, Eastern County Cricket Association officials will join us to discuss the protocols in place for the matches.
