Adam Hall’s Baltimore Orioles improved their Preseason position in the Grapefruit League picking up their 5th win that also goes with 11 defeats.
Hall was once again not in the team as they defeated the Atlanta Braves 5 – 2.
The Atlanta Braves went ahead in the top of the 4th when Ozzie Albies homered to left, but in the bottom of the 5th the scores were level, Cedric Mullins hit a sacrifice fly to center, to score Austin Hays who had singled to left to start the inning, before moving to second on a ground out.
The Baltimore Orioles scored four times in the 6th inning, Ryan Mountcastle would double to deep center, and then Rio Ruiz hit a ground-rule double to deep left-center, scoring Mountcastle, Freddy Galvis singled to center, before being replaced by Ramon Urias, then Austin Hays doubled to left, scoring Ruiz and Urías to make the score 4 – 1. Terrin Vavra replaced Hays, and he would then score on a passed ball.
With the score now 5 – 1 the Atlanta Braves would score the final run of the game when Guillermo Heredia scored off a Sean Kazmar Jr. single to center after he walked to start the inning.
