Bermudian sophomore Sienna Mosquera played her part as Lehigh Women's Golf sealed the team title at the Lehigh Invitational, capped by a dramatic chip-in on the final green.
Hosting at Trump National Golf Club, the Mountain Hawks delivered under late pressure to capture top honours on the team leaderboard, aided by an extraordinary finish in the individual standings.
The standout moment of the 36-hole event belonged to Lehigh junior Reese Hannon. Standing on the tournament's 36th hole, Hannon produced a stunning chip-in birdie to complete a final-round two-over-par 74, finishing at seven-over 151 (77-74). The late piece of magic saw her edge out Rutgers' Elizabeth Ryu to claim individual medallist honours.
Mosquera provided vital contributions towards the collective triumph, finishing tied for 35th at 22-over 166.
The Bermudian showed her scoring touch in the opening round, carding three birdies, six pars, seven bogeys, and two double bogeys on her way to an 80. Confronted with tougher scoring conditions on the final day, Mosquera steadied through the middle stretches with nine pars and two birdies, counteracting seven double bogeys to sign for an 86.
The victory concludes a strong autumn campaign for the Mountain Hawks, who now head into the winter hiatus before returning to action when the spring schedule tees off in early February.
