Southampton Rangers and Warwick Workmen’s Club took centre stage as the Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) celebrated the standout performers of the 2026 domestic season at its annual awards evening.
Players, coaches, match officials, and administrators gathered at Warwick Workmen’s Club to reflect on a hard-fought campaign, with silverware distributed across both league and knockout competitions alongside special tributes to long-serving figures of the island game.
Rangers underlined their status as the dominant force in top-flight cricket, collecting a clean sweep of premier honours after clinching both the 50 Overs Premier Division and T20 Premier Division titles, as well as the T20 Knockout Cup.
All-rounder Allan Douglas Jr was named 50 Overs Premier Division Most Valuable Player following a decisive summer that yielded 272 runs and 11 wickets, while team-mate Nyhrobi Carmichael topped the T20 bowling charts with 15 dismissals. Rangers' commanding campaign was further cemented with Herbie Bascome securing Premier Division Coach of the Year honours.
Hosts Warwick Workmen’s Club also enjoyed an evening of rich reward in the First Division, completing a league and T20 Knockout double. Veteran all-rounder Malachi Jones was awarded T20 First Division MVP honours after notching 81 runs and taking nine wickets.
Elsewhere in the individual accolades, Dominic Sabir took home the T20 Premier Division MVP for Somerset Cricket Club following a campaign featuring 168 runs and seven wickets, while PHC’s Charles Trott was crowned 50 Overs First Division MVP after an influential all-round return of 224 runs and 14 wickets.
Off the pitch, the board honoured several pillars of the domestic game. Derek Wright received the prestigious BCB Icon Award in recognition of decades of service to Bermudian cricket, while Samantha Robinson was presented with the Long Service Award to mark 20 years of continuous employment and dedication at the governing body.
Law firm Cox Hallett Wilkinson (CHW) was awarded the Good Corporate Citizenship Award for their backing of the senior men’s national team across 2026, with the honour accepted by Fiona Bada.
