PREMIER DIVISION

North Village Rams 0 Dandy Town Hornets 1

Defending Premier Division champions Dandy Town Hornets maintained their unbeaten start to the league campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over fierce rivals North Village Rams at Bernard Park.

In a tense, physical encounter between two Bermudian footballing heavyweights, it was Tomiko Goater who delivered the decisive moment in the first half.

The breakthrough came when the North Village goalkeeper spilled a stinging shot inside the penalty area, allowing the alert Goater to pounce on the loose ball and slide a clinical finish into an unguarded net.

Holding a slender 1-0 cushion at the interval, the Hornets were forced to withstand sustained spells of pressure after the restart. Both sides carved out openings during a lively second 45 minutes, but clinical finishing remained at a premium as Dandy Town's backline held firm to claim all three points and preserve their unblemished record.

FIRST DIVISION

Wolves 0 Boulevard Blazers 0

Earlier at Bernard Park, First Division rivals Wolves and Boulevard Blazers could not be separated as an entertaining clash ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Wolves flew out of the blocks, breaching the Boulevard defence inside four minutes. In-form forward Khiari Sharieff-Hayward continued his prolific start to the season, demonstrating sharp instincts to tuck away his effort and hand Wolves an early advantage.

Boulevard’s response was swift and emphatic. Just nine minutes later, Ernest Trott found space inside the area to level the contest with a crisp 13th-minute strike.

Despite a frantic tempo and chances falling to both sides either side of the break, neither goalkeeper was breached during a combative second half, leaving both outfits to settle for a point apiece.
