IslandStats.com
Hosts Bermuda produced a dominant collective display to retain their overall title at the Carifta Triathlon, Aquathlon and Mixed Team Relay Championships, racking up an emphatic 329 points across two days of competition.

Barbados finished as runners-up with 148 points, while Trinidad and Tobago secured third place on 141 points as the home nation controlled proceedings at Clearwater Beach.

Testing conditions greeted competitors on day two, but Gianluca Bortoli ensured Bermuda made an immediate impression, clinching the hosts' first medal of the morning with silver in the sprint division in a time of 58 minutes 25 seconds.

Bermuda's junior contingent then took centre stage in the individual super sprint and youth events, sweeping up a string of podium finishes across all age brackets.

Rory Shepherd set the standard in the Boys 15–16 Super Sprint, powering home in 30:36 to claim gold, while Sofia Leclerc battled to bronze in the Girls 15–16 race, crossing the line in 35:30.

In the Boys 13–14 division, Spencer Haldeman led the field in 31:32 to take gold, with team-mate Ethan Smith securing bronze in 32:46.

Bermuda went on to lock out the entire podium in the Girls 13–14 Super Sprint. Colette Durkin sealed victory in 34:36, followed closely by Naomi MacGuinness (35:04) for silver and Elena Bortoli (35:07) for bronze.

The medal rush continued into the youngest ranks, with Niklas Bock claiming bronze in the Boys 11–12 Youth event in 18:45. Eva Desjardins and Madeleine Friend then engineered an authoritative one-two in the Girls 11–12 category, Desjardins winning gold in 18:37 and Friend taking silver in 19:16.

The hosts underlined their superior squad depth in the Mixed Team Relays to close out the championships. In the Senior Relay, Bermuda A captured silver while Bermuda B rounded off the podium with bronze. Bermuda's junior squads delivered an equally emphatic conclusion, with Bermuda A storming to gold and Bermuda B claiming bronze to seal a thoroughly deserved title defence on home soil.
