The Bermuda Triathlon Association (BTA) has confirmed a schedule adjustment for the 2026 CARIFTA Triathlon, Aquathlon, and Mixed Team Relay Championships, with competition at Clearwater Beach now set for Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th.
As defending champions and host nation, Bermuda is gearing up to stage one of the marquee fixtures on the regional junior sports calendar.
Clearwater Beach will provide the backdrop as roughly 180 rising young athletes representing 11 Caribbean nations descend on the island for two days of fast-paced multi-sport racing, encompassing individual triathlon and aquathlon events alongside the high-octane mixed team relay.
The showpiece weekend will also feature high-profile international backing, with two distinguished figures in world sport confirmed to attend.
Bermuda's Olympic champion Dame Flora Duffy, the most decorated triathlete in the island's history, will be on hand to support the region's emerging stars. She will be joined by World Triathlon President Antonio Arimany, whose presence underscores both the growing prestige of the CARIFTA multi-sport championships and Bermuda’s standing as a leading hub for triathlon in the Americas and Caribbean.
With preparations finalized and the dates locked in, the hosts will look to make home advantage count as they launch their title defence on Friday morning.
