Bermudian runner Joseph Cechini produced a determined performance for Mercersburg Academy at the 2026 VA Cross Country Showcase in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Competing on the Upper Course at Pole Green Park, Cechini tested himself against a competitive regional field in the Small School Boys 5k division.
The Mercersburg athlete navigated the flat, fast layout to cross the finish line in 112th position, clocking a solid time of 18 minutes 39.5 seconds.
The showing marks another steady outing in Cechini’s autumn campaign, providing a competitive benchmark as the Pennsylvania prep school continues its cross-country schedule.
